You need tough friends.

Or you'll never grow your legacy.

I got slapped.

One voice note.

96 sec of torture.

The reality hit me harder than a left hook from Mike Tyson.

My friend was explaining to me how wrong I was on something.

I was tough.

I almost thought he was making fun of me.

I was like…

“Why the fuk is he bullying me that way?”

But then I heard the last few words:

“I’m pretty sure you’ll see the point.”

That’s when I realized…

This guy was trying to help me.

He gave me advice on branding.

Advice on refining my offer.

Suggestions for content creation.

None of my friends took 1:30 min of their time to drop a voice note ever.

None.

So I replied.

“Bro that’s an interesting perspective. I’m thinking about this right now”

And quite frankly?

I was half lying saying that.

But I did think about what he said.

And found out I wasn’t crystal clear on my idea.

Now imagine if I didn’t.

Imagine if he didn’t.

Imagine if none of us did it.

I’d be stuck with a half-complete idea.

And maybe give up on it.

That’s why you need tough friends.

They’ll make you grow.

Your man,

Adam.
